From the halls of college studying sports medicine to the heart of the music industry, Rebekah Foster's journey is a tale of passion, persistence, and breaking barriers. With her heart set on audio engineering and music, Rebekah's hustle and dedication led her to form Ujima Sound Productions Ltd in 1987. Named after the Kwanzaa principle meaning "Collective Work & Responsibility," Rebekah embodies this ethos in every aspect of her life and business.

Rebekah's professional path was ignited by her love for live music, a passion kindled at a young age when she witnessed legendary performances by the Jackson 5 and Sly at the Hollywood Bowl. Her diverse expertise spans roles from a recording, FOH, or MON engineer to road manager and tour manager, working with an array of artists across genres. Her work has graced prestigious festivals and venues worldwide, including Glastonbury and Carnegie Hall. Rebekah's commitment to excellence, coupled with challenges stemming from race and gender, forged her into a resilient and versatile industry powerhouse.

Today, Rebekah's influence extends beyond the stage. Residing in the Bronx, she actively contributes to her community, volunteering at food pantries and aiding her church. Her greatest fulfillment, however, comes from mentoring young talent. Through Ujima, Rebekah has guided numerous interns, helping shape them into industry professionals. As the daughter of Rev. Wendell and Mrs. Helen Foster, her roots in music, theater, and spirituality deeply inform her work and life, driving her to champion diversity and representation in the music industry.
